Boca Ciega Point was built in 1972. It's a beautiful Gated Waterfront & Boating community located in Saint Petersburg, Florida just a half a mile from the stunning Gulf Beaches. There are total of 48 apts in the 3 story bldg.  and 317  one story villas, for a total of 365 units. Walk to all amenities: the heated pool, saunas, tennis, bocce, shuffleboard, horse-shoe courts, fitness center, library, club houses, the putting green and the 9 hole chip n'putt course. This is a not just a Retirement community, it's a relaxing, active lifestyle!

It started with an idea, the know-how and a perfect location for developer Bernard Greenbaum to put his notion into motion.  Greenbaum a well known builder with a solid reputation and a penchant for building shopping centers and industrial plants all over the country had a proposal and a design to transform nine thousand feet of shoreline on a beautiful stretch of fingers that jutted three thousand feet into Boca Ciega Bay into a new Condominium concept.  In the 1960’s as developers were examining option other than beach front property for water front homes they obtained permits to dredge Boca Ciega Bay and create “fills” that we now refer to as fingers and it was this forty two acres that Greenbaum planned for his “Island In The Sun”.
